We’re feeling incredibly proud… A recent Globe and Mail article spotlighted three inspiring women whose journeys are connected to Vinica Education Society, and seeing their stories shared reminds us exactly why this work matters.
Eliana Bray — recipient of a Vinica scholarship, Joanna Schlosser — a dedicated mentor within the Vinica program, and Karen Chapman — a participant in Vinica’s very first AgriDiversity (now Equity in Wine Leadership) training program, who now proudly serves on Vinica’s Board of Directors.
Vinica Education Society is a not-for-profit organization based in British Columbia, Canada, focused on diversifying the wine industry through innovative education and professional mentorship. We support adults who are passionate about wine but face systemic barriers to participation and advancement in the industry.
These women embody what’s possible when access, mentorship, and opportunity come together. Their histories with Vinica are part of a much bigger story — one about opening doors, building community, and shaping a more inclusive future for wine.
We’re so grateful to see their voices amplified, and even more excited for what’s ahead.
